The bank with heart

The first Lawrenceburg National Bank was chartered by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and opened for business on July 2, 1885 at the corner of Main and Jackson Streets. On November 16, 1967, the bank operation moved into a new building on the site of the old Routt and Leathers property (our current location). The former Boone Hardware store, adjacent to the existing bank, was purchased and remodeled to provide additional office space for our growing bank. In October 1983 a new branch was opened at the West Park Shopping Center in Lawrenceburg.  The staff includes a branch manager/loan officer, assistant branch manager, and five tellers. In 1985 Lawrenceburg National Bank became a part of the Farmers Capital Bank Corporation, a holding company in Frankfort, Kentucky. We expanded our service area in 1999 by building a branch at 838 N. College Street, Harrodsburg. The staff consists of a branch manager/loan officer, assistant branch manager, and three tellers. In early 2006 we opened a branch in Danville, located in Boyle County, Kentucky. The staff consists of a branch manager/loan officer, and three tellers. We opened our doors at a temporary location early in 2006 and our permanent branch was opened in November 2006 at 1035 Ben Ali Drive in Danville. LNB has grown continually through the years and as of December 31, 2006 our total assets were $178,728,000
